Black and White World

Olafur Eliasson's light pieces use something like a monofrequency light [according to someone else I read] to create the black and white environment effect. This is the right type of bulb from what I can see [used in street lamps and other public utility lighting]. Low pressure sodium. Could be good for noirish interiors.

Of course it may be much more complicated than this because it is Art.

Temporal lobe epilepsy
There's an article here on the Horizon episode that featured temporal lobe epilepsy and religious experiences:
Rudi Affolter and Gwen Tighe have both experienced strong religious visions. He is an atheist; she a Christian. He thought he had died; she thought she had given birth to Jesus. Both have temporal lobe epilepsy. There's also a full transcript of the show.
